Images aren't supported by the Backpack API, but I have found a workaround. It's implemented in Packrat 2 which is in development.

Definitely yes! I have just bought packrat, but was a little un-happy with not being able to image galleries. Something I use a lot in backpack.

Will this be in the next version?

I have been tempted with evernote, but some serious flaws in the iphone app and a few bits that make it a bit too complicated hold me back. backpack is good because it's simple.

If packrat would just include the image gallery feature then I'd be very happy indeed.

As a PackRat user, and also a Basecamp user who has long wanted a similar client to be available for it, the answer is a resounding, definite, unequivocal yes.

Well I'd say you are in a better position to answer your own question than the rest of the us. How good has the response rate been from regular backpack users for your application?

Yes it does. In fact, I'd say that it is a great misconception of the post-iPhone world that connectivity is always available. There are countless times when connectivity is unavailable, but a user still wants access to that information. Even Google embraces this notion with Gears.

When it comes to Backpack in particular, the biggest challenge to Packrat and Backpack is Evernote. Evernote fills the need that Backpack does to a large degree and is free and available offline on the Mac.

I'm not a registered user of Packrat because I came to Backpack a bit late in the game and have been waiting for Packrat 2.0. I personally prefer Backpack to Evernote, but I can't say why.
