I’m excited to announce that Numerology 2 will be released this coming Thursday morning!
This is the biggest update in years, and it marks an important milestone for the app — not just in terms of features, but also in how it’s offered to users.
A Fresh Business Model
Since its launch in 2008, Numerology has always been a paid-up-front app. In that time, it’s helped thousands of people gain insight into themselves and others. But the App Store has changed — and so has how people discover and evaluate apps.
With Numerology 2, the app is moving to a free download with optional subscription model. This allows new users to try it out before committing, and helps the app compete more fairly — especially since every top search result for “Numerology” is a free download. Despite having the exact name people are searching for, Numerology currently shows up in the 17th position. This change is a step toward fixing that.
Subscriptions unlock advanced features and help support continued development — so I can keep improving the app for years to come.
New Features in Version 2
Here’s what’s new in Numerology 2:
- iCloud Syncing (subscription required) – Keep your profiles in sync across devices.
- Import from Contacts (subscription required for new users) – Quickly create profiles from your address book.
- Add Profile App Intent (subscription required) – Create profiles via Shortcuts, Siri, and automation.
- Compatibility Pairs – Save and revisit comparisons between any two people.
- Free Download – Try the app before subscribing.
- Expand and Collapse Chart Sections - Zero in own chart sections to avoid unnecessary scrolling
All the core features of Numerology remain — just with more ways to use them and a better foundation for the future.
For Longtime Users
If you purchased Numerology before this update, don’t worry: you still have access to all the features you paid for. The subscription is only needed for new features, and to help support future development.
I’ve resisted making changes just to increase revenue for a long time. But to keep this app going — and growing — this update was necessary. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported Numerology over the years. I hope this new chapter helps make it even more useful and insightful.
Thanks again for being a part of this journey.
Numerology 2 goes live this Thursday morning — I can’t wait for you to try it.
